Building a continuum of mentoring for early career teachers
In 2023, IFfM is undertaking a national project that will seek input from early career teachers (up to and including five years in the profession) to deepen understanding of the continuum of mentoring needs experienced by this group of teachers and the most effective ways of addressing these. Using a national survey tool, this survey is collecting early career teachers’ perceptions about what they and their mentors need to do during mentoring for mentoring to be effective for them.
This survey will also gather early career teachers’ perceptions about the purpose of mentoring and what topics are important for them to engage in mentoring about. Early career teachers in their first, second, third, fourth, and fifth years of practice are invited to participate.
